There is a warmth and softness in the diffused late day light of winter. Looking out over a rolling landscape of cornfields, a farmhouse sits on the horizon and catches the last rays of the setting sun, as a deep blue shadow from a neighboring hill stretches coolly across the foreground.

The location for the inspiration of this watercolor painting is the Morley Road, looking North from the Canton Road.
