Booth Island is a small rocky knoll in the middle of Black Lake that is used as a passage way connecting the town of Edwardsville and Pope Mills.   This simple old cottage with worn siding and sagging lines is depicted here on a dark wet winter day.  The damp heavy snow hangs on the forms like wet cotton reflecting the solemn mood of an overcast winter day.
Original is painted in watercolor on cold press paper.  Edition sold out in December of 1991
