The majestic turbulent looking sky and stiff river chop in this watercolor painting of a magnificent boathouse located on Wellesley Island, reflect the character of it's builder George C. Boldt.  It was designed to house the boats that would deliver guests to Bolt Castle on Heart Island 1/4 mile away.  The huge multilevel doors could accommodate the high stacks of the river steamboats .  After years of neglect the boat has now been restored to its original condition.
