Boothbay has an ambience that glistens with activity and excitement. The pedestrians, cars and boats all seem to hustle in a carefree nomadic direction. It is a visual buffer of color, texture and sound. One calm night while returning from a sunset sail, I saw this composition that seemed to capture the essence of Boothbay. The sun had dropped below the horizon and only a hint of hue remained. The night was still and rolling wakes did a slow dance with the lights that were reflecting on the glossy water surface
