There are two places
where I feel an energy so intense that it wakes me up at the break of
dawn. (not that easy) One is Manhattan the other is Monhegan. They
both start with the letter M and they are both islands. That is
where the similarities stop. But perhaps they are like two
opposites, a positive and a negative that balance each other in some way.
One exposes the soul of man the other the soul of nature.
This is a view from
Horn Hill looking at Monhegan Light as the first rays of the day dance
with the night mist.
Reproduced from a
watercolor painting.
