Spring seldom arrives early this far north, as seen in this late
April watercolor painting of a new snow. The small ponds, created by beavers damming
up streams, are typical of the landscape found in the foothills of the Adirondack
Mountains. This painting was commissioned by the Barney Pond Club of South Colton
for their raffle to raise money for their winter deer feeding program.
