Moonlight illuminates the heavy snow in this nocturnal setting of a house in Wanakena, NY.  Mystery and intrigue can not be ignored as the viewers eye follows the foot prints across the field and down into the dark broken shadows of the tall pines.  And yet, among the inky silence of this scene, a single yellow light holds a lonesome vigil through the night.

Appeared on the cover of the Jan/Feb, 1994 issue of the N.Y. Conservationist. Original was painted in acrylic on canvas.
