Sometimes I wonder if years from now, someone will look at my paintings and wonder about the artist and his work... In many ways Boldt Castle is like a painting... Using Heart Island as his canvas, stone as his medium and laborers as his brushes, George Boldt, following a lifelong dream, set out to create a masterpiece.   But a twist of fate destroyed his inspiration and his aborted work was abandoned like an unfinished painting, left in an eerie silence that is as cold and hard as its stone walls.  Reproduced from a watercolor painting.
