Especially in winter when the landscape seems abandoned and naked, except for the contrast of buildings against the painterly luminescent sky. This fleeting shadowless icon of time is a constant reoccurring theme in my work over the last 30 years. Like most nocturnal paintings the viewers eye is drawn to the warmth of the lights coming from the house. Reproduced from an acrylic painting on canvas.
