The feeling of tranquility is dominant in this Adirondack watercolor of the upper waters of the Deer River where it crosses the Red Tavern Road in Essex County. A soft graduated blue sky is mirrored in the polarized still waters. The rich deep red/brown of new bark and golden tinsel of Hemlock contrast the green/blue of misty pine.
Original painting was done in watercolor.
