It is the bud of summer when those first warm days of spring foreshadow the promise of what’s to come. Along the St. Lawrence River the trees are celebrating with an explosion of spring colors. The harsh memory of a long winter is melting away like the last shadowed drifts of snow. The anticipation of summer is everywhere.
On this calm, quiet morning time seems to stand still at Oak Point, only the low drone of a Laker is heard as it meanders its way up river, through the islands in Chippewa Bay.
