What is it about gardens that draw artists to them like bears to honey? I think it must be the colors and variety of textures and shapes, it’s not often that an artist can use so many bright colors together and not make it look pretentious. Monet’s favorite place to paint was his garden at Giverny, where he spent the last days at his easel.. Anyway it’s a visual treat that not too many artists can pass up including this one. This garden is at the Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, NY.
It iReproduced from an oil painting on hardboard.
