The intensity of color on the river on a summer's day is truly inspirational. Nowhere is it more intensified as in the Thousand Islands. With the bright blue sky above and deep blue waters meandering down through the richly colored pre-Cambrian rock of the more than 1800 islands that make up this area. The shy and wary Blue Heron will often retreat to a lofty sanctuary when approached by man.

The original was painted in acrylic on gessoed masonite board.
