Winter here is a time of isolation and reflection. Some people find this time peaceful and relaxing others are as anxious as a trapped animal. As an artist, I find this is an ideal time to paint, spending hours in my studio with the fireplace burning and classical music playing.

This black and white watercolor painting is the largest of a set of three which include "A Long Way Home" and "Frozen Rest".  The snow is applied by hand making each print different and unique.
