I fell an awakening in
me as the night settles over the land. A kind of energy and desire
that you experience when you know something is ending or is the last one,
like the last bite of good food or the last time you will see someone.
The night is also mysterious and romantic, a feast of deep hues and shadow
shapes, accented with spikes of gold and amber illumination that define
surface textures with silver reflections. There in this twilight
plays a serenade that can only be heard by the heart.
Reproduced from an
alkyd painting on hardboard.
"Twilight Serenade" is
the 100th. limited edition released by the artist.
This work was
used in the movie set for "A History of Violence" starring Viggo Mortensen
