There are special places where the past seems profoundly felt in the present. Where objects project an aura that is frozen in time. For many years I have admired the work of Andrew Wyeth. I feel this painting, in many ways, reflects his influence.
The weathered textures of gray clapboard and the soft light of a heavy winter day, are the setting of this sober study of a farmhouse porch with three chairs. Reproduced from a watercolor painting of an abandoned house near Red Mills, NY
